Traffic Infrastructure Study

The Town of Rockport, through the Village Partnership Initiative Task Force and the Planning and Development Director, was awarded a grant through Maine Department of Transportation's Planning Partnership Initiative. Through this grant (50/50 split) the Town was able to secure an engineering firm through a Request for Proposal process, and awarded by decision of the Task Force members to the engineering firm Sewall. Their grassroots approach was appealing to the Task Force, for they want to know what the community has to say about the traffic infrastructure within the Scope Area. They will take this information into account as they perform their work for this Study. 

The end result will not just be a study, rather a tool for the Town to leverage for more grant funds to pay for the construction recommended through the study. The Scope area can be found in the Document section of this page, Letter of Intent & Request for Proposal.
