Administration

Welcome to the landing page for the Town Manager’s Office.

The Town of Rockport is a coastal Maine community with 3,644 year-round residents according to the 2020 census. Rockport’s deep-water harbor was a boon to the community in the 19th century when lime and ice were primary exports and now boats moored for sailing and commercial fishing fill our inner waterway. Our community has grown and evolved significantly over the past decade and managing a community as it changes requires many hands. The Town Manager’s Office is responsible for ensuring the varied parts of Rockport’s town government are providing excellent service to our residents.

Please do not hesitate to contact our office to ensure we are responding effectively and efficiently to the needs of our community.

Below is a listing of monthly reports the Town Manager provides to the Select Board on the matters facing the town.

SHAPE:
The Town of Rockport is currently a full participant in the SHAPE program (Safety and Health Award for Public Employers), which is a Maine Department of Labor/SafetyWorks! program which recognizes employers and their employees for programs above and beyond the minimum. This award distinguishes the town as a model for workplace health and safety programs. The Town of Rockport continues to recertify our commitment each time our participation comes up for review every two or three years.
