Sgt James Moore
Sgt Jim Moore is a graduate of Medomak Valley High School. Jim started his career with the Knox County Sheriff’s Office in 1989 as a Corrections Officer. He moved to the Patrol Division in 1990 and graduated from the Maine Criminal Justice Academy in June of 1991. Jim was assigned to the island of Vinalhaven and is also a former DARE Officer for the Sheriff’s Office. Jim left law enforcement in 2000 and returned to the Sheriff’s Office in 2009. He worked for the Sheriff’s Office as a Patrol Deputy and Patrol Sergeant until he started with Rockport Police Department in January 2015. Jim was promoted to Police Sergeant in May 2017 and currently serves the Town of Rockport in that capacity. Sgt Moore’s personal interests include fishing trips with his wife, camping and hunting.
