Getting Here

In the heart of mid-coast Maine, the Rockport Opera House is located at 6 Central Street in the historic district of Rockport, Maine, across from the library, up the hill from Rockport Harbor, and adjacent to several restaurants and small businesses.

Driving

  • From the South: 

  • Take I-95 North to exit 22 to the Brunswick/Bath/Coastal Route 1 exit.

  • Travel for 43 miles to take a left onto Camden Road/Route 90.

  • Continue on ME-90 through intersections at RT-131 and RT-17.

  • At the traffic light at Route 1, continue straight until the road ends at West Street.

  • Turn left onto West Street.

  • Continue around Rockport Harbor and across the bridge, bearing right.

  • The Opera House will be on your right overlooking the harbor.

  • From the North: 

  • Take Route 1 South from Belfast through Northport, Lincolnville, and Camden.

  • After passing through downtown Camden, turn left before the Stop & Go onto  Union Street

  • Follow Union Street under the Camden/Rockport arch.

  • Union Street becomes Central Street. The Opera House will be on your left overlooking the harbor. 

  • From the West: 

  • Follow ME-17 East/Eastern Ave.

  • Continue on ME-17 through South Windsor, Washington, Union, and Hope.

  • Turn left onto ME-90/West St. 

  • Continue on ME-90 until it ends at Route 1.

  • At the traffic light at Route 1, continue straight until the road ends at West Street.

  • Turn left onto West Street. 

  • Continue around Rockport Harbor and across the bridge, bearing right.

  • The Opera House will be on your right overlooking the harbor.

Parking

On-street parking is available on Central and Union Streets.
On-street parking is free and there is no time limit.

Handicap Accessibility to the Opera House

There is a wheelchair-accessible ramp to the left of the front door, as well as a ramp to the lower-level meeting room on the right side of the building. All main floor seating is handicapped and wheelchair accessible. Any questions regarding accessibility may be directed to the Opera House Manager at (207) 542-0836.
