Harbor
Nestled between the bustling Camden and Rockland Harbors, Rockport Harbor offers a serene and vibrant haven for both the working waterfront and recreational boating enthusiasts. Former home of the famed Andre the seal and Harbormaster, Harry Goodridge, Rockport's history is still evident in the historical lime kilns that line the park and the statue of Andre overlooking the water. On any given summer day, you can see the many uses of the Harbor; from the youth sailing lessons at the Rockport Boat Club, kids and adults fishing for mackerel, to a yoga class on the lawn. The beauty of Rockport is not just in the scenery but in the people that frequent this special spot. From the folks that set up their lawn chairs and watch the coming and goings of the tides, to the lobsterman who have made their living here just as their families have for generations. It is place that we are working to protect so that it can be enjoyed in the same capacity for generations to come. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do.
